Biogeochemical Cycles and Your Plants
Over this week our plant as show rapid growth and i have also noticed that there are a lot of holes in the leaf of our plants. The leaves of our plants are very wide and droopy. Our plant is also very tall compared to the others. The soil is very moist around our plants and there are a lot of pest eating the leaves and eating the leaves of our plants. Our plants contribute to the water cycle because the water caught onto the plants leaves evaporate into the air. This seems not to effect our plant.even though the drought that we had seemed not to effect them because there soil seemed to alway be moist .
Our plant also contribute in the carbon cycle by absorbing CO2 and turning it into oxygen and giving it back to the earth.By doing this the plant is contributing into the carbon cycle .This effect our plant because through that our plant is absorbing sunlight through photosynthesis and feeding its self.
Our plant is does not contributing in the nitrogen cycle but benefits off of it.This is because it uses nitrates and ammonia to grow and give themselves nutrients. So by doing this it is sort of contributing to the nitrogen cycle in a way.
